Tema Rail Line To Be Ready By September
Mr. Dan Markin, Board Chairman of Ghana Railway Development Authority
(GRDA), has disclosed to the press that the Tema railway line will be
inaugurated in September.
This is the line which extends from the Tema Harbor to Tema Community
One,it is expected to meet the needs of all manner of people as well as
be of a modern standard.According to him,it is near completion and the
final work will end in August.
Also a level crossing safety equipment has been provided to prevent trucks from crossing whiles a train is moving,the Acting Chief Executive of GRDA, Mr. Emmanuel Opoku, said.
He also notified the press that the new station and rail line are part of the other six old stations in Accra and expressed the hope that the government would later extend it to Akosombo and other parts of the country.
